Smoking and Innernet

Internet or 'Innernet' for call center peeps

sunny -17 °C

Yosi break, It's ok to Say No!
I downloaded a cool font one GY night to design a T shirt for the Company's Quit Smoking Campaign. I thought it was cute and my manager is nodding. We launched it and had our teammate print shirts for the group and the Nurses. It was a hit! pretty soon HR folks are ordering shirts followed by Admin then Operations! All because of my seatmate who is an instant walking Ad of the Shirt! Yahoo! i'm so thankful because at least the shirt is doing it's job for promoting the campaign - Quit Smoking!

Remembering God's Favor

sunny

I came out of our small group here in the office just 10 minutes ago. I went straight back to my desk to fix some files and save my pictures. Our computers will be reimnaged on Monday which will delete all files on the C drive. We kept saying, perhaps IT doesnt have anything to do anymore that's why they are eyeing on our PCs.

Been quite a while! Last weekend, i spent time with my dad here in Manila. It was great! although I was left broke after. I should have established a budget for that day because our lamyerda suddenly went out of proportion. On top of that, It's the Manila Bookfair! I could not pass 20% discount on all books! Not that I'd be buying tons. I got to take advantage of it though! SMX convention is huge! Nothing different from the last book fairs except that Pasay is father from work and from home. Oh well, I wish my Mom was there with us. She could have literally spent the whole day, feet aching and all stopping thru each and every exhibitor..

I'll join next week's Victory Weekend! Am excited on God's revelation. It's about tine I take Him seriously. I look forward to tomorrow's workship service as well. the series is entitled 'Uncommon' Uncommon, GOD, LIFE and CALLING. Too good to pass.

My prayer is for Jesus to instill into my heart the glory and sacrifice HE did for us. That through that understanding. I will be able to grasp how wide and long and the deep is God's love.. really is. . That what i receive will be transformed into acts of love all pointing to the goodness and mercy of His love. So help me GOD, in Jesus name, Amen.

Now that i realize it... Whatever conflicts i experience today is the outcome of the decisions i made in the past. It was never because God turned away from me or because He chose not to bless me.. Because He always did.. there many things i will not understand.. but His Mercy and Love surpasses it all. The Favor of God never left me.. that i can hold on to.. even today and everyday. GOD is good!

Reconciliation, Pastor Joey, Bo Sanchez and Piolo Pascual

She's back - i don't know her name but i'm happy that she's back. I heard she was on break from the Praise and Worship Team to concentrate on her Board Review? I'm not sure of her profession but i pray for her to pass the exams.

I'm talking about our Praise and Worship Lead Singer this morning. She's got an amazing voice. She blends well with the back - up singers and from what ive heard this morning, she's getting even better, more relaxed but powerful.

Pastor Joey Bonifacio exorted the congregation of MISSION and on being a MISSIONARY. This is really God's dream. To see his people following the Great Commission on our everyday lives. It's not a complicated word for which we are to much avoiding. Actually, our everyday life in itself is a mission from God. This is the Unfinished Business we have from God. Reaching out to others should always be our business as Christians. And it does not have to end the minute we leave Church every sunday.

Pastor Joey said that 'the church is not an organization'. God wants us to witness to people, share the experience of JESUS and on the process, He will build his Church. - Glory to GOD! :D

It's exciting to hear from Pastor Joey that he had a recent encounter with Bo Sanchez - the most famous and influential Catholic evangelist in the Philippines.

Bo: Joey, tell me. What does your Church do?
Joey : We honor God and Make Disciples

Pastor Joey received an email from Bo Sanchez inviting him to a meeting in which he will be bringing his Elders along. The projector flashed a picture of Pastor Joey, Bo Sanchez and about 5 more men with them behind the posters at Every Nation Bldg. lobby.

Pastor Joey continued sharing the questions of of Bo Sanchez's Team

Bo's Elder: Do you have a list of your members?
Joey: None
Bo's Elder: How do you get them to stay?
Joey: the doors are open if they want to come in and if they don't feel the love of God, they are more than welcome to leave.

Bo's Elder: How do you do it?
Joey: We teach them the love God, we disciple them.
Bo'd Elder: What do you mean?
Joey: Discipleship is teaching them the love of God and teaching them to share it to others.

Bo' Elder: That is profound! I want to be part of your church!

Everyone was clapping and praising God after that. I was clapping too. Religion is not issue here anymore and it never was. Pastor Joey continued saying 'We are called to RECONCILE people to GOD. That way, GOd can restore their hearts and after that, their relationships with others. That is our mission. We are not manipulate people or sell the Church' - We are called to Witness,'

concentrating on 2Corinthians 5:17- 21.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

20We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

21God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

How profound isn't it? Glory to JESUS!

I was at National Bookstore yesterday browsing thru some books. I was trying to find Love, Stargirl when i came face to book cover face with an an amazing scene. - Piolo Pascual! It's a Photo - Autobiography of this angel; turned man sent to earth. and what more? - there's a browsing copy!!!! I shut off the noise and music of Market Market around and concentrated on the glossy pages before me.

Ang cute ni Piolo nung grade III - his School ID is there!

fast Forward to his teenage years.. His travels. tours, movies, stardom, papadom, ( hihihahaha) Sorry check out the book in National Bookstore Php700. Bibilin ko sana kaso ang mahal. Walang macho pics of anything. pero knowing Piolo ay nako matutuwa kayo.

Now, in my mind nag hahanap talaga don sa book of anything regarding his Church friends sa VCF. aba matatapos nako. wala paren. Until, i turned to one of the last pages sa book. A letter from Donita Rose.

I't's a notebook page saying, (SUMMARY - Happy Birthday, the moment i knew your birthday is coming i knew i had to give you something and i thought of this book (Bible ito, friends). it's not much of a book but it changed my life and how i view it now. I pray the same for you too. Thru this book may you know GOD and when you do, you will experience wisdom, favor, peace, .. Happy Birthday! )

Piolo wrote on the caption that it was given to him by his friend Donita during the shooting? of Dekada 70 days. Piolo confirmed - 'and it (Bible) did change my life.'

So it was Donita who reconciled Piolo to Jesus! It was she who took a step, who made the move of faith, with sincerity, prayer and love for a friend who is plainly, celebrating his birthday. Imagine if she did't do that. ? Piolo might not be writing - 'Let Go and Let God' as his motto now.

This is a total encourage meant for me and i hope and pray it will be for you too. Our hope is in Jesus who is ultimate RECONCILER of our life :p cheers!

olympic hangover

overcast -17 °C

I really feel for them and really prayed for them as well. As in. Prayed for their safety, wisdom, faith and strength.

I read from a paper that Tshomlee Go and Toni Rivero are respected in the International Competions they have been to. Their presence is strongly felt. They are considered as two of the country’s top medal bets.

At ang price ng GOLD medal sa Olympics? - A whopping 15M pesos. That's a guarantee from Mrs. Arroyo's send off for Team Philippines during their courtesy call in Malacanan. It was orginally 11.5M, she added 4.5M!. Our President knows how important it is to encourage our athletes. It's a humongous addition to the team's motivation to excel.

img_Mrivero.jpg

“If you want to dream, be sure that you will back it up with hard work to turn it into reality,” Rivero said. “And that’s what I’ve been doing. Now, I know something good awaits me in the Olympics.”She was a round short of entering the gold-medal game in the 2004 Athens Olympics. - (Source: www.gmanews.tv)

Both our Taekwondo jins did'nt get to sing our National Anthem in Beijing. They were our last two aces before we called it quits. Sad but true, they will leave Beijing still chasing for the oh-so elusive gold.

The Taekwondo Olympic committee mentioned that our Taekwondo program is boasted to be at par with the world's best. however, since we failed to get a medal, the program will run into a series of overhauls.

Ay nako, even if they do not have an Olympic medal yet. To Tshomlee Go and Toni Rivero - THANK YOU for your doing your best for the country! Your dedication and courage is more than enough for us. And because of you, I take pride in saying - Pinoy AKO. :)

First Connection

sunny

hyper-conn.._070813.jpg

There was a big email sent to our distro list last week about an exciting - GY cell. BIG because the banner that was used in the email occupied more than what an outlook email can provide - you need to scroll the right for you to see the whole thing. It was sent to the usual names on the list plus to some big names sa dati kong account. That created a stir in me. Ang galing naman ng guts ng sender. Then i thought. hey, this is GOd making His BIG moves.

I was not there last week. Pero kanina, i was really up to it. 8AM, sa isang training room sa baba. I went there and suprisingly, ang daming tao sa training room! asan kiya si Gorgeous Sis? Then i realized what i'm seeing, anf daming tao - may mga naka formal at parang inde sila magkakakilala. Hmmm iba ito. May naka schedule siguro dito kiya wala di Gorgeous Sis. So i texted Gorgeous Sis. Mga 10 minutes na, no reply. Mmmm. nasa Mcdo kiya sila like last Wednesday?

I went back to the 3rd floor and decided to call her. Sis, andito kami sa Mayon Volcano! may mga tao pala sa kabila eh. Sabi ko, Ah ok be right there na!

it took me around 20 more minutes before i went straight to the lift. Mejo tinatamad nako, Wag nalang kiya. But for some unexplained reason, i did go, wiped the shimmer of GY oily skin, and freshened up.

When i got there, there were 6 of them. So we were 7. last week 8 sila. dapat pupunta si FD bro kaso masakit daw ang ulo nya. Ng Ym ako to say na i think he can rest kase 4am pa ang endshift nya.

Sis Joko talked about how God answer's our prayers. 'Lord i want to be patient' Of course GOd wont swing a spell for you to become as patient as a woman bathing ten 6 year olds all at one time.

Instead, HE might give you TEN 6 year olds to run around with, feed, bathe, laugh with, reprimand, spill milk over which then gives you an opportunity to be PATIENT. You become patient with the help of your prayer and with the tangible presence of a commotion at hand.

God will give you situations. Out of those, you become a better person.

Una palang. tinamaan nako ni Lord sa small group na ito.

So there, we had a really cool ice breaker - 2 truths and a lie. Identify 2 statements about you. Two of which should be True and the other one should be - false or - CHIKA lang. I had a hard time thinking ha! madali lang ung FALSE! So i told the group:

- i'm a frustrated engineer
- i'm a writer in the making
- i want to travel the world.

Ano ang lie jan? Of course, the 1st one. Ayoko maging engineer dahil nag nonosebleed ako sa tuwing nakakakita ako ng square root sign.

it was fun. Gorgeous G, sabi nya 1. my room is tidy, 2. i love spending time alone 3. i love traveling alone nahulaan naman ng lahat ang false which is - my room is tidy. Gorgeous G explained, inde naman magulo, ma clutter lang kase andun na lahat.

Ha? may grocery? may airport? may ecosystem don? kiya pala you want to be alone eh.. hahaha. we had a good laugh!

Sis Joko said - 1. i majored in computer science 2. i love programming, 3. i look to cook. ang lie - i love programming. haha. life can be sometimes ironic sabi nga ni alanis.

Sis Joko continued on the day's topic - Christ love - becoming more like him.

Matthew 22:34-40 (New International Version)

The Greatest Commandment

34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:

36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[b] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Gorgeous G shared - 'Love is the highest form of warfare' Joyce Meyer. Yep and it's true. It's amazing how enemies are softened, toppled, even apologetic to a fault once just 1 person - initiates an act of love.

I'm refreshed with a lot of exciting insights sa small group kanina. Everyone had a thought to share na talga nakaka encourage. none of what everyone has to share were new. Kase most of us had been Christians for years now. Pero Lo and behold. Our God is awesome and always ready to love His people back - nothing to expect in return. Kahit alam mo na ang sinasabi, GOD's spirit will still touch you according to HIS loving purpose at palaging TIMING.

Love with actions and LOve while losing yourself so that JESUS can sit in and spin your life to HIS loving and perfect purpose.

GY ako so talagang haggard na ko in the end. The yummy ensaymada we had and the love i felt during the small group is worth it. :D

Happy Weekend to yah!
